Engineering

Gameplay Engineer (three.js / Unity)

Build and polish the moment-to-moment play of our mobile puzzle and party games.

About the role

Our current games are written in HTML5 and JavaScript with three.js for 3D and shipped to Android and iOS with Capacitor. The role covers gameplay work on games like Catsequences! and Moonpop Garden, and on future projects that may use Unity.

What you'll do

  • Build gameplay systems, puzzles and game feel together with design and art.
  • Keep games smooth on everyday phones: frame rate, memory, load times and battery.
  • Write clear, tested code and help keep our tools and build pipeline tidy.
  • Pair with art and design on prototypes, then take the best ideas all the way to launch.

What we're looking for

  • Shipped or prototyped real-time games in three.js / WebGL or Unity (C#).
  • Comfortable with modern JavaScript or TypeScript, or with C# if Unity-focused.
  • Care for accessibility, performance and player-friendly design.
  • Able to walk us through a tricky performance bug you found and fixed.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Capacitor or other mobile wrappers, and with Android/iOS store releases.
  • Familiarity with child-safe ad and privacy setups for family games.
  • Shader, VFX or game-audio programming experience.
